Triathlon Training in Switzerland |
[2010 starts with good resolutions as always. Let's follow my training towards the triathlon season.] Update: it's now 2012 and I race in Geneva! yay! |
Sometimes it happens when after a turn you see the lake and the sunset. Sometimes, when alone in the nature you hear a dog barking in the distance. Sometimes it’s at km 19 of a half-marathon, when you’re tired and exhausted but you realise you can do “the” time and you go all out, finding energies you didn’t know you had.
Today it happened running in the forest. The only sounds were the heavy breathing of my brother and me, and the croak of the birds scared by the two of us passing. The effort and the pain were already strong, the weather was humid and there still was a thin layer of fresh snow on the ground; the sun was just setting down. And I realised once again why I love running. It’s because I love life.
